Crossroads' 1st Mission Trip, Day 3
It’s the third day of our mission. Today we started our work in the village. As we entered town it was very quiet and all eyes were on us. I’ve been on many mission trips all around the world. I have never felt so conspicuous.
When we got to the site our job we were told that our first job was to repair a 65 year old well, one of the six that provide the drinking water for a village of 2,000. It appears that we will be able to finish this tomorrow and be able to complete a second spring box before we are done! Fantastic.
In all, we had a great day. The setting is beautiful and the people are very friendly. The cool weather that kept us chilled yesterday was great to work in today. We are all feeling the effects of a long day’s physical work. It’s been a long time since any of us have worked like this.
We also have a few people that are feeling sick. It
seems to be the effects of the new environment. Please pray for health and
strength.
