Haiti updates
The tragedy in Haiti continues to mount. 50,000 dead. 100,000 dead. 200,000 dead. The UN says the final number may never be known.
If you want to keep up to date with what's going on there check out the blog of our ministry partner Nehemiah Vision Ministries.
What encourages me about our partnership with Nehemiah Vision at this time is that they are strategically located near the devastation in Port-au-Prince AND they have a long term commitment to the development of that region. They were on the ground before the earthquake, during the earthquake, and will be there long after the world's attention moves on.
I want to thank all of you who gave to Nehemiah Vision during our special Christmas offering. Little did we know how critical that would be. I also thank all of you who gave during last Sunday's special offering. Additional gifts can be given directly on Nehemiah Vision's home page.
Other disaster relief organizations that I recommend are Samaritan's Purse and TouchGlobal.
